Getting ready

Preparation of floor
Following preparation is needed:
· Remove baseboard shoe
· Cut line between wall and trim
· Clean the floor
· Apply tape on the joints
Cut planks
Cut the planks in such a way that they come ¼” short of wall on each of the end. Cut with circular saw or some other power saw while cutting.
Install first row
Push them against wall, and then insert ¼” spacers after every foot. This space can enable the planks expanding during humidity changes.
Continue installing rows
You must continue to install each row as per the direction given by the manufacturer. Each row can be different from each other.
Install last row
Set shims against wall and try to measure width in various places in last row. If your wall is straight then you can cut all planks of same width.
Install base shoe
Try to reinstall base shoe and drive nails into wall instead of flooring, so that it can accommodate changes in the temperature and humidity.
